Long time no post

First of all, I'd like to start off with this amazing picture, something I saw hanging on a wall at one of my schools:

It reads: "I can't read what's inside the heart of Remi-chan." Which is clearly awesome.

Undokai (field day) season is upon us. Most schools had theirs planned for last weekend but were rained out. Mine is re-scheduled for this weekend. mainly, eight hours of elementary-school-level track and field (the 1st grade 400 meter run is amazing to watch). Schools go crazy with anticipation. Yesterday I was treated to the site of a pickup truck pulling the vice-principal and janitor of a school back and forth over the entire playground "in order to flatten it."

other than that, have not been very busy. took a short, uninteresting trip to Sapporo during golden week. am teaching two adult english classes per week after after, which is some nice extra cash.
